I attended today with my family for my son’s birthday gift. We did the gym and recovery session. Very enjoyable experience. Loved the recovery area in particular. Thanks very much to Harry and Kylie for their assistance and friendliness.

Great gym with everything you need. Have worked out solo there and taken strength training and yoga classes here. It’s not too busy so accessing equipment is never an issue. Great community vibe, friendly staff, and the recovery zone is such a bonus!

Nice gym and great location, but expensive. I’m one of many who switched here when the gym at Grand Hyatt decided to close to external members, so it’s a bit of a shock to the system. No free towels and no bubblers, so if you forget your bottle you can’t drink from the coolers. Staff are friendly but mostly seem bored. I figure they warm up once you get to know them. If you are here for cardio and machines, it may not be for you. There’s not a lot of machines and they’re so tightly jammed together that it feels too close to work on one next to someone. Feels like the whole place is set up for floor work, with mild tolerance of those using cardio equipment. On that note, there’s literally one elliptical trainer that I hit my knees on when I use it. Couple points of concern: it’s not real clean. I’m often surprised how dirty things are. Also, why isn’t there a working door to the wet area? I’m standing in super bright lights having a shower, in between sauna and steam room, Looking at random people arriving to get changed. Lockers are often broken or full. This place isn’t well thought out or maintained. A few simple fixes would make it so much better.

Salt is where I workout. After a few years exploring gyms in Melbourne I’ve found the one that meets my needs (classes, workout space and recovery). What makes it the perfect place for me is the service and attention you get from the team and how personalised it is. For me, it’s the best place to move and stay healthy in Melbourne. Classes are fun and small too.

  • One of the best gyms in Melbourne! A great community close to the CBD and nestled adjacent to Yarra park and Fitzroy gardens making it one of the most brilliant locations in Melbourne too. Everyone in the team is a delight to deal with whether it be Twiggy, Tyler, Karlee, Harry, Tom or Max. Great value especially considering they have classes, compression, modern gym equipments with 24 hr access as well as the recovery with Sauna, steam bath, ice plunge, Ice shower and magnesium spa. Also check out the free run club on Saturday mornings😊🙌
